After a year inside our home, I can’t help it but say, I miss the CvSU life.
Looking back, it was almost this time when we were told about the lockdown and the first case of Coronavirus here in the Philippines.
What we thought was a one to two-week vacation turned out to be a real deal. And we were all caught off guard.
That also means no physical school for about a year now, and for sure, we all miss our university life before.
As you know, I am currently studying at Cavite State University – Main Campus or CvSU, and just like any other college student, ang dami ko nang namimiss sa aking college life!
Here’s a few things that you will surely relate to or miss even more if you are a certified CvSueno!
1. The long CvSU walks
Kung mahina ang legs mo, tricycle is your best bet if you want to roam around the campus or you have to attend you next class from the other side of the Earth.
If your knees aren’t strong enough, you might find yourself stopping at every bench you can see since super layo ng mga building sa isa’t isa. Masaya naman ang lakads if you are with your friends!
2. Ang simoy ng hangin sa campus
Kasabay ng mahabang lakarin ay ang malamig na simoy ng hangin sa campus.
If there’s one thing that I really love about the uni, it’s the natural environment that encapsulates the whole campus in a green paradise. Minsan, right after class when I am really stressed, the only thing that can relax me is the view of trees looking down on me and breezing good winds that tell me na chill lang dapat.
The last time I remember I got to see these beautiful trees was after a hectic week pa dahil sa majors. Wish I could go back and feel that moment once again.
3. Washday awrahan sa CvSU!
In CvSU, we have school uniforms but every Wednesday, we call it our wash day. Para sa mga nagdodorm, this is the chance for them to wash off their dirty school uniforms and wear civilian outfits inside the campus.
And siyempre, since this is the only day of the week that we get to express our fashion, eh talaga namang pabonggahan na! HAHAHA!
Aside from the popping colors of dresses and shirts all around CvSU, it’s very evident that the students are also comfortable and more confident with how they bring themselves every washday! Kahit pa simpleng damit ‘yan or super colorful na OOTD!
Such a refresher! Hays, nakakamiss!
4. CvSU Library stories!
Also known as Ladislao N. Diwa Memorial Library and Museum, the CvSU Library is one of the go-to places ng mga CvSUenos!
Personally, I visit the library just so I can wait for my classmates before our next class (because I’m always an early bird).

5. Tanghalian sa Saluysoy
CvSU has a lot of food places to hang out to. We have the University Mall which has a bunch of food stalls and other stores. We also have a canteen right outside the gate 2 na minsan ay puno rin every lunch time.
Pero isa sa mga lugar na dinadayo ng mga students (since it’s the only food place inside the campus) ay ang Saluysoy.
Saluysoy is actually a resort and ayon sa mga sabi, may pools din daw dito (which I haven’t seen yet.) But the real deal here ay ‘yung mga pagkain at memories!
There are food houses that sell viands na swak for college-student budget. And s’yempre, nakakamiss rin ang cheese stick na saksi sa lahat ng kwentuhan habang nanananghalian sa Saluysoy.
6. and of course, the CvSU people!
While most of us still meet and talk virtually, iba pa rin ang personal kwentuhan with friends and s’yempre, mga klase!

What I miss about the CvSU people is that in almost every corner of the campus, mayroon kang makakabatian or kakilala. I also miss my classmates who I spent most of my time with lalo na ‘yung mga good and bad experiences through our college journey.
I also miss the face-to-face interactions with teachers who are really dedicated sa kanilang pagtuturo sa mga estudyante. Even the guards who are strict but also kind-hearted.
I think I can say that university life is not gone yet. As soon as this pandemic ends, sana ay makabalik na tayo sa kung gaano kaganda, kasaya, at kachallenging ang buhay kolehiyo.
As a CvSUeno, there are a lot of things that I really miss about the campus.
Pero since the situation doesn’t permit us to visit the uni yet, better stay at home and keep safe muna so we can enjoy more moments in the campus when things go back to normal.
I miss U, CvSU! See you soonest!
