Social media is part of our life now. We usually post everything that we do on on our social media accounts. We use it to find for something and we even use to it get news updates. However, social media now is getting toxic and bombarded with negative opinions. Instead of positive ideas, it gives you problems and issues about almost everything.
Social media destroys your mental health now and it spreads fake news for those who don’t know how to filter what they read. It also affects political and spiritual beliefs of people.
I am not blaming social media but we, as users, are responsible in using it properly. We have the full control of making our feed positive and less problematic. I am going to share to you how to use social media in a a positive way.
1. Follow the pages that interest you and publish positive thoughts.
There are tons of pages out there. Don’t just like and follow a page because of a single post that your friend shared to you. Visit that page and browse all their posts. If you think that pages are more on politics and government, stay a way with it. That will provoke discussions.
2. Remove those people that are more on talk than action.
Social media allows us to freely express our ideas. This is good with some limit. However, many are abusing this. They tend say a lot to others without considering themselves first. Many has a lot to say but less in action. The greatest hypocrisy of all is commenting in social media on how to do things, on to the handle particular situation but they don’t actually practice what they preach or they don’t have real experience about it.
3. Customize your feed
There is always a setting in any of you social media account on what you want to see. Limit it to positive ideas only. As for example, you may want to see only God’s verses, positive technology development, fitness and many more.
We have full control on our social media account. It is just a matter of knowing what you want to see. Using social media is the same on how we take care our body. We don’t put everything on our skin. We don’t eat anything that we see. We need to filter and choose what is the best for us.
Thank you so much. 🙂
