Planning to study in Cavite? Get to know the CvSU professors you’ll meet!
In college, not only your university, the course you take, or your classmates matter. Of course, your instructors, professors, or teachers (however you want to call it) also has an impact on how you will enjoy (or not) your stay in the university.
As an education student, I had a more intense and critical view of my professors. They are the ones who will inspire me to become a better educator in the future, the ones who will guide me to what I should and should not do, and all the things that revolve around the teaching profession.
Here are some of the characteristics that I love about my CvSU Professors:
Note that we may not share the same experience hahaha! If you are not lucky enough, my early sorry huhu. This post might make you realize that there are still professors there who put their hearts out in teaching!
1- There is a greater number of young CvSU instructors!
CvSU has a lot of great, experienced professors that already spent years in teaching in the university. While their contribution is very significant with every learner, there is also quite a number of young instructors who are growing within the CvSU faculty community.
What’s good about them is that they bring in new and youthful ways on how to teach, approach, and handle classes. I, myself, experienced this from my teachers who are teaching for about a year or a couple.
Some of them are fresh graduates from the university as well. Makes me think if I will share the same fate as them in the future. Hmmmm.

2- CvSU professors continue to seek academic improvement.
I know a lot of professors who are teaching and are studying at the same time. Some of them are taking their masteral and doctoral degree, in or outside the university.
For me, this is really important because they seek constant improvement and learning in their chosen field. Surely, this will have a great impact on the quality of education that they will deliver to their learners.
3- Most of the CvSU professors are passionate in what they do.
Yes, I know, not every single teacher seems to be very passionate with teaching. There a lot of factors for this to consider. But focusing on the more positive light, my professors for the past two years at least, seems to know what they are teaching.
A great number of them focuses more on the learning of the student rather than plainly passing or not passing them in their courses. These are the kind of CvSU professors that always inspire me to become better in the field.
4- They will treat you as a family.
Some of the treatment from college professors go beyond the class and the lesson. In my case, there are a two professors who believed in me and my passion for content creation (Sir Cy and Sir Harold, hello po!)
There are also those who are willing to listen to your problems and will give you the piece of advice no one has ever given to you. And there a lot of things they still can do which makes me idolize them more!
Not everyone has a great experience to every college professor that handled them. But what I know in my heart that there are still a lot of teachers who, aside from being passionate, are kind, considerate, and excellent in the field of teaching. My CvSU professors showed me that despite of the negative connotations to most of them, there are still those who would make you feel valid, appreciated, and celebrated as a student.
Thank you to all the professors that never made us feel that teaching us is a burden!
